Applications are now being invited from experienced Information Providers for places on DIT accredited CIB Advocacy Practice Programme commencing in late January 2012. The course is at Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications and aims to develop the learners practical skills in representative advocacy. Learners will attend six one-day sessions in Dublin and three in Carrick-on-Shannon during 2012. The course is aimed primarily but not exclusively at those working in Citizen Information Services (CISs) in the East, the Midlands, the West, the NW and NE. Applications are also invited from other organisations involved in the provision of information, advice and advocacy services. A limited no of places may be offered to suitable applicants from such organisations. All applicants should be undertaking or plan to undertake representative advocacy work.
