Accredited advocacy training course

In partnership with the Institute of Technology Sligo and the Equality Authority, the Citizens Information Board has been developing and supporting the Higher Certificate in Arts in Advocacy Studies since October 2004. The course, delivered by distance learning, is fully accredited at certificate level and provides progression within the third level system. More than forty students have graduated from this programme to date, many of whom now work as advocates.

Advocacy Practice Programme (APP)

The Advocacy Practice Programme is run by CIB. It is a Level 7 course on the National Framework of Qualifications and aims to develop the learners' practical skills in representative advocacy.
