Aim
To up skill participants enabling them to deal with more complex work permit scenarios and situations of migrant workers at risk of and/or undocumented

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course participants should be:-

  • able to deal with the intersection of employment permit regulation and residency status  
  • excplain recent and relevant changes to the employment permits scheme and long term residency
  • demonstrate confidence in dealing with the ongoing bridging visa mechanism for undocumented migrant workers applying for work permits
  • outline  the routes into becoming undocumented in Ireland and practical learning on how best to provide information and support to migrants wishing to regularise their status
  • advise on what a section 3 and section 14a notification is letter and how to practically respond
  • interpret residency issues policy and procedures as they relate to undocumented workers and employment permit holders in Ireland
