Courses at Level 2 are for Information Providers who have completed the Information Providers Programme (IPP) and have a good understanding of the course topic or have at least one year's experience of giving information to the public.

Aim    
This training is to ensure that information providers are able to provide information advice and advocacy relating to the Habitual Residency Condition and how it affects the range of welfare payments.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this course participants should be able to:

  • outline the Habitual Residency Guidelines and implementation practice
  • explain information on Habitual Residency Guidelines including accessing websites and forms
  • advise and assist clients on Habitual Residency Guidelines including accessing operational guidelines, collating relevant information and documentary evidence
  • advise or provide advocacy for client where a payment is refused on Habitual Residency Guidelines grounds including seeking a review, seeking an appeal, compiling a submission.
